Prior to and during the London Summer Olympics, the design team that now leads Intellistreets created a custom smart control system for the Wembley Arena and its surrounding events area.
Drawing on a long-standing collaboration with Disney Imagineering, the team applied theatrical show design principles to an advanced multimedia control platform. Purpose-built illuminated towers—integrating embedded cameras, speakers, and color-changing luminaires—were synchronized with water features to create a cohesive, dynamic environment.
The result was a landmark example of how storytelling, technology, and public space can merge into a memorable, scalable smart-city experience.
